Fantasia Wins Sex Lawsuit; Boyfriend Was Telling the Truth After All

alt

Fantasia is not the home-wrecking skank-in-heat that she was accused of being by the tabloids and Antwaun Cook‘s ex-wife, a North Carolina court has ruled.

It turns out that Fantasia’s boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, was telling the truth — he was indeed separated from his wife before he and Fantasia engaged in sweaty bedroom acrobatics.

The fact that Fantasia and Antwaun were mattress partners is now considered legit from a legal standpoint. A North Carolina court found that Antwaun Cook was already separated from his wife, Paula Cook. Therefore the judge ruled in favor of Fantasia and Antwaun Cook.

The court ruled that the Cooks’ separation date was Sept. 14, 2009 — not June 2010, as Paula had claimed.

And to think of all verbal darts and nails the public and tabloids fired at her grill when they believed that Fantasia stole someone’s husband. That drama, coupled with Fantasia trying to resurrect her singing career, fighting with her label and then, on top of all that, carrying her shiftless, purposeless brother who lived out of her mouth like a dentist, and the combined stress nearly made her head detonate. The pressure allegedly drove her to the brink of suicide. Now we learn that Fantasia was innocent all along.

Paula Cook filed a lawsuit accusing Fantasia of being a two-legged animal in heat and snatching Antwaun out of a stable union. This resulted in the the court hearings to uncover the truth. There’s no word yet on how the court’s decision will impact Paula’s goal to sue the singer under North Carolina’s unique Alienation of Affection law.

Some observers see a conflict of interest in the case. It is being speculated that the verdict returned may have something to do with the fact that Fantasia’s attorney was the presiding judge’s attorney during her divorce. Interesting. But it could be much ado about nothing. –terry shropshire
