‘Do at The View’ Brings Music, Technology and Food Together

'Do at The View' Brings Music, Technology and Food Together

The next time you’re thinking about a cool place to eat, how about trying a new spot called, do [dough] at The View. I was invited to this chic 5,000-square-foot space, formerly a special events place, that has been totally renovated into a contemporary dining restaurant.

Located at 955 West Marietta Street in Atlanta, do cleverly marries music and technology with delicious food.

When you walk into the space, you have a choice of either being seated inside, outside on the lower or upper level or on the patio. The place is all white and the owner, Christian Ruffin, said, “I wanted to keep the décor clean and uncomplicated considering technology has allowed us to have so many visual elements in the space.”

Speaking of technology, if you were thinking of ordering with those same ol’ boring menus, you can kiss those goodbye when you dine at do’s. Guests order and make special requests of the wait staff from iPads! How cool is that! The first thing I thought was what if someone tries to walk out with one of those iPads? I asked this question of Christian. He smiled at me, probably having gotten this question before, and told me to look up. It’s totally secure. Smart guy!

Bruschetta

On the iPad, they have specialty drinks, different styles of pizza and, of course, my fav … dessert! The restaurant is mainly all paperless, and that’s good for the environment. Guests also can call for valet and change the music plus visit the restroom where, after washing your hands, you can take a cool pic above the sink with another iPad attached to the wall … Say, “Cheese!” My son held up the line playing with that darn thing (lol).

Berry Gordy

At the grand opening, we sampled pizza, desserts and cocktails from Ciroc named Berry Gordy and their signature drink, do’s. I enjoyed the bruschetta, the southwestern flatbread pizza and the pound cake the most. We also got to mingle with guests and go out on the upper level patio and soak up the sun.

It is truly a great place to experience and, if you are on the northwest side of town as a resident or a guest in town, you have to visit this cool new spot nestled in the heart of Atlanta. I would like to thank Bria Bryant for the personal invite, and congrats to Christian and his lovely wife for their new business venture! xoxo –tammie reed
