Katherine Jackson Says Michael Was Never a Child Molester

Nearly two years after the sudden death of her son, iconic megastar Michael Jackson, Katherine Jackson is intent on clearing his name concerning alleged sexual scandals. During a recent appearance on the “Today Show,” expressed that claims that her son was a child molester were absolute lies.

“As far as Michael being a child molester… that’s the biggest lie ever been told,” said Katherine to “Today Show” anchor Matt Lauer on May 4.

Katherine also discussed a 2009 article, released after Michael’s death, in which one of the star’s accusers from 1993 admitted to lying about being molested by Michael.

“He confessed that Michael never touched him, and it was a big lie, and his father just wanted to be rich. And he said, ‘I’m so sorry I didn’t get to tell [Michael] this before he died,’ ” said Katherine.

Although at the time, Michael settled with his then-accuser, Katherine explains that the decision to settle was pushed by the King of Pop’s lawyers.

“Well, his lawyers told him he should just pay the money. … They thought that just paying the money and shutting the people up would be the right thing to do,” said Katherine. “As soon as I heard [he’d settled,] I called him and said, ‘Why did you do that? It makes you look guilty.’ He said, ‘I didn’t want to do it either mother, I wanted to fight it because I knew it wasn’t the truth.’ ”
