Spring Trends for Men

Spring Trends for Men
JCrew Spring Collection

We couldn’t let spring go by without talking about what the men in our lives would be wearing, now could we? Styles for men will include bursts of color, a nod to to yesteryear, and skulls and crossbones. Some of the looks are quite different, so let’s see what’s trending for those hot guys this spring and summer.

Skull and Crossbones: You will see them on pants, jackets even in some hairdos. I’m not a fan of skulls but its a very popular look this spring.

Biker: We will see biker jackets, vests and more. I’m sure some guys already have them in their closets. Well guys, they’re back and never really went out of style anyway.

Double-Breasted: Blazers, jackets and sweaters will be seen in an elegantly tailored sporty look. I always thought a guy in a double-breasted suit was haute.

Fifties Resort: Rolled up pant legs and casual sweaters from this era with funky colors that bite. Look at Yves Saint Laurent’s latest collection for inspiration.

Uniform: Remember when wearing scrubs was cool? Well, now you will see work-inspired looks. Dark denim, shorts and boatneck tops are the look for spring.

Psychedelic: Hippie looks with bright, bold prints from the ’60s will be sought after. Patterned shirts will be the rage.

World Traveler: The style of functionality with rolled jeans, pants and loungy sweaters.

Bright Colors: Yes, guys in pink, citrus, tomato red and electric blue are all the craze for the guys — hmm, don’t know how I feel about this, the pink is a definite keeper, though. If guys can pull off these colors, they have lots of confidence!

Unstructured: Easy to wear clothing that makes you think of Johnny Depp at a private secluded island. Lots of unstructured tailoring.
