Jay-Z and Kanye West Absent From Young Jeezy's Live Show in Atlanta, But Could He Still 'Motivate' the Crowd?

Jay-Z, Kanye West and Fabolous all joined Young Jeezy for his comeback concert in New York on July 25. One day later, Young Jeezy took his show to Atlanta and his hometown fans were anticipating which guests the trap star would bring on stage at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theater.

Moments before Young Jeezy hit the stage, fans were antsy and expected Young Jeezy to pull off all the tricks for his hometown audience. But Lil Scrappy and Yo Gotti were the only rappers to join Young Jeezy on stage in Atlanta. However, the show still consisted of memorable moments and served as a reminder of his past success and revealed a bit of what he has in store for the future.

Backed by a live band and a DJ, Young Jeezy performed the entire Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The atmosphere was as intense as Young Jeezy’s initial buzz after the release of the Trap or Die mixtape in 2004.  Fan favorites included “Go Crazy,” “Bang,” and “And Then What.” He also performed hits from The Recession such as “Put On,” and “Crazy World.”

With a release date scheduled for Sept. 20, Young Jeezy hopes that TM103 will allow him to reclaim his spot as a leading voice in street-hop. –amir shaw
