Chicago Police Shoot Black 13-Year-Old 8 Times, Parents Say He Was Unarmed

Police officers across America continue to unjustly shoot black people without following proper procedures. On July 26, police officers in Chicago shot 13-year-old Jimmy Cannon eight times.

According to reports, the police officers claim that the boy pointed a gun at them. But after Cannon was shot, the officers discovered that he only had a BB gun.

However, the boy’s parents said that their son was unarmed and that he raised his hands to surrender before he was shot.

Black lives seems to be worthless in the eyes of many individuals who work in law enforcement. On July 10, retired NFL player Deacon Turner was killed by a police officer in front of his son in Bakersfield, Calif.  The mayhem will continue until black leaders speak out and lawmakers address the problem of police brutality against blacks.
