It was a big year for Atlanta’s 2011 20th annual For Sisters Only Expo. The two-day event housed some of the biggest brands, booths, celebs and performing artists, attracting more than 250,000 African American shoppers.

Major hair brand Outre had a sponsored “Autograph Zone” where you could meet your favorites like Toya Carter from “Tiny & Toya,” actor Hill Harper, singing group Mindless Behavior, Bern Nadette Stanis who played Thelma on the classic TV show “Good Times,” and rapper Rasheeda just to name a few.
Event attendees also enjoyed live concert performances by a great lineup consisting of Monica, Cee Lo, Tyrese, Johnny Gill, Bell Biv Devoe, Melanie Fiona, Marsha Ambrosius, Yolanda Adams, Miguel, Eric Roberson, Kindred The Family Soul, Winston Warrior and Verse Simmons.
The free Urban League Empowerment Summit featured celebrity panelists Susan Taylor, the Braxton Sisters, Terri Vaughn, Demetria McKinney, Dr. Steve Perry, Dr. Alduan Tartt and Warren Ballentine discussing taking charge of your home, career, and small business, transforming your life and reclaiming your power, creating empowered communities, saving our sisters and saving our sons.
