Mindless Behavior: Diary of a New-Age Band

Mindless Behavior: Diary of a New-Age Band

You guys came from different places, different cities. What type of styles do you guys try to incorporate into the group?
Prodigy: I’m more of a pop-locker. The smooth one. I like the isolation and I just started practicing ticking. I’m getting a lot better at it.
Princeton: I came from a very creative household, so with me, it’s not just music. I just swag it out on stage with my style, and my hair. I enjoy being different. I incorporate my style with everything else I do. You can see it in the way I dress, with my art, and my writing.
Roc Royal: I just bring my L.A. swag on stage. It’s a part of who I am — what I bring to the group.
Ray Ray: I also bring Krumping to the stage and I can also pop lock.

Lets talk about that process of getting stage ready. What is a day like for you in rehearsal and how do you guys make it all come together?
Princeton: A day for Mindless Behavior is freshening up for tour. It takes a lot of hard work and it’s different every day — specifically for the “Scream Tour.” It’s just rehearsing like crazy and it’s not just for dancing. It’s for vocals, media training and working out. And then, just when you think you’re show ready, you get to the venue and you still have to do a sound check and get ready for the show. So it takes a lot of hours.
Roc Royal: We had couple of days to get ready for this tour. We were not used to that. We’re always used to opening up for an act and having two months. But headlining a tour and having a week to prepare is really different.
