Nicki Minaj Says What About New Track: 7 Hot Nicki Video Appearanceshat

Barbies and Ken Barbz have sounded the alarm, Nicki Minaj, er, Roman Zolanski is back! On Dec. 2, Minaj released her new Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded track, “Roman In Moscow,” to a fury of a response from both her fans and detractors. But according to the head Harajuku Barbie herself, the hard-hitting track is the “wackest” song on her sophomore album.

Last month, Minaj promised fans that her defiant, off-the-wall alter-ego Roman Zolanski, who’s apparently been in boarding school, would make his musical return on her new album. And as promised, Roman is fully reloaded and spitting some of Minaj’s most raucous lyrics over a high-octane StreetRunner and Sarom beat.

“Motherf—k you with a big d—k/I’m a racist, I’m a bigot/B—ch I’m thicker than a midget/Yeah I’m crazy just a smidget,” spits Roman before possibly taking shots as his and Minaj’s favorite rival, Lil’ Kim. “Roman’s back b—ch/I f—ked up your life last year this time/Remember that? Remember that b—ch!?”

Since the track’s release, Minaj has received a positive responses from fans as well her fair share of criticism from detractors. But when Minaj spoke to MTV News on Friday at the Billboard Women in Music event, she explained that “Roman in Moscow” is indeed the “wackest” track on her new album.

“’Roman in Moscow’ is like a teaser to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which will drop on Valentine’s Day,” Minaj said. “When I say it’s a teaser, it’s like a trailer to the movie, it’s like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It’s the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.

Speaking further about the origins of the track, Minaj explained that her gay male alter-ego, Roman, has spent the last several months in a Moscow boarding school, thanks to his mother, Martha, another Minaj alter-ego. Though Minaj remained tight-lipped about Roman’s experience in boarding school, she promised that she will release a video for the track that will explain everything in detail.

“Well, he was there [in Moscow] secretly because [alter ego] Martha wanted him to go there, so they put him in this thing with monks and nuns; they were trying to rehabilitate him,” Minaj explained. “But I can’t tell exactly what happened, you’ll just see it in the video format, but let’s just say he got out of there.” Minaj added that the video “will be shot real soon.”
