Will Smith Slammed By the Original ‘Aunt Viv’: 7 Other Celebrity Feuds That Won’t Die

It’s no secret that Janet Hubert, the actress who played the original “Aunt Viv” on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” had a famous falling out with her former co-star Will Smith after she was fired from the show in 1993. Though, it’s been years since the two have worked together, apparently, Hubert still holds a grudge against Smith.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Hubert addressed her absence from a recent reunion dinner for the “Fresh Prince” cast and explained that she will never associate with Smith, whom she still blames for her firing from the show.

“There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an a–hole like Will Smith,” Hubert said. “He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”

Hubert-Whitten was famously fired from “Fresh Prince” after three seasons on the show,  reportedly due to tension between her and the rest of the cast. Hubert-Whitten was replaced by actress Daphne Reid. Though Hubert claims that Smith was to blame for her departure, Smith claims that it’s Hubert herself who caused her own firing, thanks to her difficult attitude, which she credited to her pregnancy during a recent episode of TV One’s “Life After.”

“[Hubert] said once, ‘I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.’ No matter what, to her I’m just the anti-Christ,” said Smith in 2010.

Clearly, these two will never be friends, but hopefully Hubert can find a way to at least let go of her grudge against Smith. Check out our list of seven other never-ending feuds below. –nicholas robinson
