The Twitter world stepped away from their regularly scheduled programming to pause and share warm sentiments as well as wish a peaceful repose for the spirit of the great showman, Don Cornelius who took his life on Wednesday, Feb. 1. Cornelius is widely recognized as one of the first black show hosts and a man who helped pave and expand the broadcasting airwaves for African Americans in television. Cornelius whose trademark close ‘Peace, love and soul’ leaves a rich  legacy for the generations of “Soul Train” fans to pass along to the next.
