Obama vs. Romney: The Social Media War to the White House

Not that anyone noticed or even cared, but Newt Gingrich “suspended” his campaign — more like allowed it to wither away to a quiet inconsequential death — and the move makes Mitt Romney the presumptive Republican presidential candidate outright.

Now, there is only one person that stands in Romney’s and Obama’s way of claiming or reclaiming the Oval Office in 2013 — each other. There is going to be fierce fighting on the stomps from Washington D.C. to California. But the real war may be won or lost on the social media platforms. This is an arena that Obama leveraged brilliantly four years ago to route Arizona Sen. John McCain and, today, Obama is one of the most followed celebrities in the world.
