‘The Cosby Show,’ 20 Years Later: Where Are They Now?

 

“The Cosby Show” went off the air 20 years ago, but its immense cultural impact can still be felt to this day. More importantly than the fact that Dr. William H. Cosby Jr. created a slew of Hollywood stars who are still relevant in Hollywood to this day, is the fact that it shifted the paradigm of black programming and gave millions of urbanites — and Americans — an unprecedented view into the life of an upscale, upper-middle class African American family. “The Cosby Show: defied the traditional destructive stereotypes, some of which remain prevalent to this day.

The Cosby’s were a fictional family, of course, but it was real, all at the same time. And, it was revolutionary. Some of them are still doing great things to this day. We have Bill Cosby to thank for that.
