It’s only been a few weeks, but already “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” stars Mimi Faust and Stevie J are the talk of the reality TV town, thanks to their high drama love triangle with fellow cast member Joseline Hernandez. And fans of the show are publicly wondering why Faust has yet to leave her cheating boyfriend, Stevie J. But in a new interview, Faust hints that she may be out the door soon enough.
While chatting with Atlanta radio personality Egypt Sherrod, Faust explained that she put up with Stevie’s infidelity and lack of commitment for so long because she thought he’d eventually put their family first.
“I thought he and I were working towards something — towards raising and building our family,” Mimi explained. “But when I realized that that wasn’t the direction we were both trying to go in — my head was there and his was obviously elsewhere — then I made a decision at that point.”
Though she wouldn’t give a concrete answer as to whether she would leave Stevie J, Faust added that she’s unsure just how their relationship can actually last.
“I would love to keep my family together, but at this point I don’t see that happening. So, I’m willing to just let this do what it do,” Faust admitted.
Besides cheating on Faust on camera, fans also saw on the latest episode of “LAHHA” that Stevie impregnated Joseline, who at the time of filming seemed unsure of whether or not she wanted to keep the baby.
In that same episode, it seemed like Stevie J was trying to keep Faust by his side by letting her in on his business, and Faust seemingly took the bait by becoming his business partner. But Faust explained that she wasn’t falling for one of Stevie’s games, she just wanted to make a lucrative business deal.
“No, no, no, no, no. What it was, was I wanted to be more involved in the business,” said Faust. “It wasn’t I was accepting a payoff. I actually wanted to be involved. If I put in this work and I have been dealing with this this long, I want to be more hands-on with the situation as far as making the money and everything that goes along with it.”
Though she and Stevie J now have a new business contract, when it comes to their own personal contract of relationship fidelity, Faust says there is no understanding or pact that he’ll be monogamous.
Well, such a lack of trust, respect and hope, it doesn’t look like their relationship has a long life span. And with things going so badly between them, they may just end up in a bitter breakup like these other couples below. Check them out after the cut. – nicholas robinson
