How would you describe your musical style?
I try to create music that people can dance to. Too often when I go out I hear music that talks about the survival in the streets, which is okay to listen to sometimes, but not the whole time the party is going on or the entire time we are in the club. Sometime people just want to party and have fun so I help to make that happen. I believe you can deliver a message and an infectious beat at the same time.
Tell me about your latest single Diva Swag?
I created this as a salute to all females. I am really excited about this new single and the way females are reacting when they hear it. There are a lot of guys out there like myself who want a woman that is smart, independent and cute. Doing the work that I do, it’s always good to know that you have a woman that can stand next to you and help handle business and look good while she does it.
How can fans enter the Diva Swag contest?
The search will look to identify women between the ages of 18 and 30 years old who believe they possess the style, attitude and respect of a Diva with Swag. Participants are asked to submit two profile pictures and tell the world what makes them a Diva with Swag. The submitted pictures will appear on the Official Diva with Swag website where their family, friends, and social media contacts can go and vote for them. The Diva with the most votes as of August 1, 2012 will win a $350 cash prize, professional photoshoot and a featured appearance in my next video.
What are you focusing on next?
On July 18, we’ll be hosting the Official Diva Swag & contest promo party in Midtown Houston at Haute Lounge at 2707 Milam. In August, I’ll be launching another contest looking for the hottest dance, twirk or performance team to choreograph their own dance to Diva Swag and I’ll be releasing an EP in the upcoming year, with some new tracks that I’m working on that will feature collaborations with some of Houston’s hottest artists.
