This Week in Atlanta July 12-15, 2012: National Black Arts Festival Brings Culture Through Music

This week, the 2012 National Black Arts Festival will be taking over Centennial Olympic Park for  some of the best live music performances in the world. Renowned worldwide for showcasing the very best of black culture, the festival features art exhibitions, theater, music and culture for the entire family. Also presenting the Coretta Scott King Awards Book Fair, Catch a Story: Kuumba in the Community, and other free community events, this week in Atlanta will be the place to be. The annual NBAF gala will honor legendary actress Ruby Dee and the first Teen Artists Awards Show will present the next generation of artists.
