Stevie Wonder's Surprise Performance at National Urban League Gala Ends 2012 Conference

National Urban League president Marc Morial has to be thrilled at the success of the organization’s 2012 national conference in New Orleans. President Obama opened the conference on Wednesday morning and the inimitable Stevie Wonder, who received an award, shared a few profound words with the audience, and then sat down at the baby grand to perform a few of his classics to close the conference on Saturday night. US Attorney General Eric Holder was also in attendance at the closing Gala and assured us that his office will continue to fight for everyone’s right to access the voting booth without illegal roadblocks that compromise the voting process.


Philadelphia’s world famous dance troupe Phildanco performed a few extraordinary numbers as the entertainment for the evening. See Stevie’s surprise performance below.
