OWN Ratings Through the Roof: Iyanla Vanzant Makes Best Debut Ever

Iyanla Vanzant’s riveting interview with Evelyn Lozada in the two-night series premiere of “Iyanla: Fix My Life” was the biggest debut show in the history of OWN.

“Fix My Life” aired after the season two premiere of “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” on Saturday at 9 p.m. EST. The winning weekend continued with Oprah Winfrey’s “Super Soul Sunday” and “Oprah’s Next Chapter” also saw big gains during the weekend.


As reported by Deadline Hollywood: Featuring life coach Iyanla Vanzant, Fix My Life’s 10 PM Saturday show earned a 1.18 rating in the women 25-54 demo and 1.1 million total viewers. That was second in the demo for its time period among all ad-supported cable networks behind ABC Family’s airing of The Blind Side. Sunday’s broadcast of Fix My Life got a 1.73 in the demo and pulled in 1.6 million total viewers, the third-highest-rated show of the night in the time slot on ad-supported cable networks

“Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” gained 450 percent with 932,000 total viewers. “Super Soul Sunday” had its highest ratings ever with 158 percent gain over its season. Usher did his part on Sunday, his interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” was viewed by 1.5 million, an increase of 1,333 percent over last year.

“Fix My Life” will regularly air Saturdays at 10 p.m. EST after “Welcome to Sweetie Pie‘s”; check your local listings.
