“Basketball Wives LA” fans got quite the rude awakening earlier this week, when rumors began flying that producers had fired four of the shows cast members, Laura and Gloria Govan, Brooke Bailey and Malaysia Pargo, in an effort to revamp the show and boost its dismal ratings. But, Bailey and the Govan sisters recently responded to the firing rumors and their reactions may leave fans with even more questions about their fate on “BBW LA.”
Shortly after the firing rumors surfaced, Laura took to Twitter to deny that she had been let go by the show.
“P.S. ya girl ain’t never been fired from ANYTHING in life. eff what ya heard!” she tweeted Wednesday.
Bailey also followed suit and denied the firing as well.
“It’s a rumor. I’m definitely confident that I’ll be returning to anything that I want to return to,” she told HipHollywood.com.
However, Gloria seemed to be under a different impression about her standing with “BBW LA” producers and claimed that she believes she is getting the axe from the show because of her failure to allow the show to cover her wedding to NBA star Matt Barnes.
In an interview with TMZ, Gloria told the site that she and the producers have never seen eye to eye and that they were upset that Barnes refused to participate in the new season of the show.
Gloria claims that producers have sent her emails saying she isn’t fired, but she believes that they’re only trying to lead her on so she and the other cast mates will appear on he always dramatic reunion show before they officially receive their walking papers.
However, Vh1 recently published a statement denying that anyone has been fired from the show.
“We can officially tell you all that despite the widespread reports, none of them are true. There have been absolutely no casting decisions made regarding the next season of the show,” read the statement.
Well, only time will tell who stays and who goes from “BBW LA,” and whether the four ladies will end up like these other reality stars that were unceremoniously dropped from their shows. Check them out below. – nicholas robinson
