NFL player arrested for choking a cab driver in Miami

Jonathon Amaya hasn’t done much to make a name for himself on the football field this season. Unfortunately, Amaya, who plays safety for the Miami Dolphins, has finally made headlines for the wrong thing.

According to reports, Amaya gave a cab driver $100 to take him outside of the Miami Beach area around 2 a.m. The driver claims that Amaya attacked him and began choking him after words were exchanged.

Amaya remained in the car until police officers arrived. He was eventually arrested and charged with battery. The Dolphins have yet to make a decision about disciplinary actions against Amaya.

In August, the team cut Chad Johnson after he was involved in a domestic dispute with Evelyn Lozada.
