Reality star Gloria Govan receives a Mirror Mirror Award in Los Angeles

Oakland native Gloria Govan gained her fame appearing on the first season of the drama-filled and controversial VH1 reality series “Basketball Wives,” which follows a group of women linked to NBA players who place their personal lives in the spotlight and their relationships on display. She now stars in its L.A. spinoff. Govan recently married her childhood sweetheart NBA forward/guard Matt Barnes. Govan was recently named the hostess of Codeblack Entertainment’s all-new entertainment documentary series – “Backstage Confidential” – that delves behind-the-scenes to capture exclusive one-on-one interviews, features and insight from some of the biggest and brightest stars at the most elite celebrity and sports events across the nation. She’s the executive director of Matt’s foundation, Athletes vs. Cancer, in addition to being involved in other charitable efforts, and the mother of twin boys: Carter Kelly and Isaiah Michael. Govan was an honoree at the Mirror Mirror Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Rolling Stone Los Angeles Restaurant & Lounge.
