2012’s highest earning female musicians
After hours of arduous work in the studio, world tours and endorsement deals, 2012’s top female musicians have raked in tens of millions of dollars. Forbes magazine has released their Cash Queens list highlighting the top earning women in the music industry. 2012’s top earner can attribute a large part of her cash to a platinum selling album, an Elizabeth Arden fragrance line and a reality TV judging gig. Forbes calculated this year’s highest earners based on record sales, touring, endorsements, merchandise sales and other ventures. The figures represent earnings from May 2011 through May 2012.
