What prompted you to start your company?

I was fortunate enough to have a job, but it just wasn’t fulfilling. I finally reached the point where I realized that sometimes you have to be driving force behind the change you want to see.

What advice can you give others on balancing personal life and career?

In all honesty, I’m a bit of a workaholic… Fortunately though, it’s such a blessing that I have a wonderful support system of friends and family who could not care less. They’ll snatch me away from the computer or kidnap me for dinner saying, “Look, you have to break it up sometimes.” Having said that, I allow myself to give into them because I genuinely believe that one has to prioritize and schedule if they’re going to attain somewhat of a balanced life. It would be such a shame to finally slowdown only to look back and realize that the vast majority of your memories are missing the people you love the most.

Give us your three keys to success.

Faith, Favor and Drive! Whatever you do, pursue your gifts and talents with a fervent passion. Success is a gift.

In your career, how do you continue to stay inspired?

Anytime we’re with the kids the experience is nothing short of inspirational. We host our events four times a year and each event reveals new opportunities to provide support and spread awareness of what the families so desperately need.  Regardless of what we go through along the way, the mission and vision remain. Seeing our kids walk away from a Mia’s Closet event with bags stuffed to the brim with clothing and an overall boost in self worth is inspiration enough for us to continue to striving to give these kids an amazing experience unlike any other.

Haha Plus, we get to play Santa Claus all year long. It’s doesn’t get any better than that.

What projects are you currently working on that our readers should know about?

We have an event coming up in March. If Mia’s Closet supporters would please begin spreading the word to their friends and loved ones to collect clothing donations that would be great!
