Deelishis denies leaping from window to escape abusive husband

Reality TV star Deelishis has had the craziness of her love life plastered all over TV screens and tabloids ever since she competed to be Flavor Flav’s No. 1 woman on “Flavor of Love.” But, recently, reports claimed that Deelishis was involved in an altercation with her husband and had to jump out of a window to flee his wrath. But Deelishis is now claiming that the story is nothing more than a crazy and false tale.

According to Sister 2 Sister, court documents filed in Detroit claim that Deelishis’ estranged husband, Orlando Gordon, burst into her home at around 4:20 a.m. on March 3 and found her sleeping in her daughter’s room, where he began beating her.

Deelishis then fled to her bedroom, where comedian Michael Blackson was allegedly sleeping, and Gordon began chasing him before beating him as well. The documents claim that Gordon then turned his attention back to Deelishis, but just as he reached the bed, she jumped out of the window to escape him. Though details have been scarce about the incident, rumors spread that Deelishis was the victim of domestic violence after she posted a photo of herself with casts on her broken arm and leg.

However, Deelishis recently took to Instagram to clarify the story. And though she doesn’t deny that there was a domestic dispute, she claims that her recent injuries were due to a movie stunt for her upcoming action film, The Ultimatum.

“DONT ‘OWE’ ANYBODY S–T, ESPECIALLY NOT ANY EXPLANATIONS,” Deelishis wrote. “STOP JUST REPORTING ANYTHING YOU HEAR! I HAD A LITTLE ACCIDENT …  IT HAPPENS IM GOOD.”

Deelishis later appeared on Detroit’s Hot 107.5 and further refuted the claims. And when she discussed people making light of domestic violence and comparing her to Rihanna, Deelishis claimed that the black community has a tendency accept and overlook violence against other black people.

“I got very angry when somebody tweeted me and said, ‘Now you know how Rihanna feels. You’re identical to her,’ ” Deelishis said, explaining why Rihanna waited so long to speak out on her fight. “It’s embarrassing  You don’t want to be known as the person who is beaten or has been subjected to domestic violence.”
