Let’s rewind to the early 2000’s when comedian Mo’Nique often used the phrase, ‘skinny girls are evil.’  The mother of four even co-authored a book, Skinny Women Are Evil: Notes of a Big Girl in a Small-Minded World.  In the overview of the book Mo’Nique acknowledged that she was a ‘big’ girl and made claims that she would always be and proud of it.

Well those days are gone. Mo’Nique has recently dropped a 82 pounds and has plans on dropping even more until she reaches her goal weight of 180 pounds. She began her journey last year after the cancellation of “The Mo’Nique Show.”

During a recent interview she revealed, “I tweet my work outs every morning because I want women to see, you don’t have to let them cut you open. You don’t have to let them suck it out. You don’t have to let them put a band around your organs. All you have to do is put the work in and the weight comes off.”

She follows a strict workout program to help her lose the weight and even hired a physical trainer to work out with her on most mornings of the week. Mo’Nique does plenty of stretching, weight training, and cardio workouts. She also has given up all meats with the exception of fish and only eats it grilled or baked.

Way to go Mo’Nique!
