Embattled singer Lauryn Hill has signed on to narrate a Sundance film festival documentary called Concerning Violence. The documentary, by Swedish filmmaker Göran Hugo Olsson, takes a look at the difficulties encountered by the African Liberation movements of the 1960’s and 70’s.

Hill has been very busy since her release from prision late last year for tax evasion. In addition to the documentary, the “Ex-Factor” singer has been booked to headline the Amnesty International’s Human Rights Concert on Feb. 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. She is said to be back in the studio working on a new album entitled, Letters from Exile to be released on her own label, Obverse Creation Music.

Concerning Violence is set to screen at the Sundance film festival on Friday, Jan 17 at 3 p.m. as part of the World Documentary Program at the Yarrow Hotel Theater.
