Lincoln’s new entry in the luxury crossover vehicle market is the 2015 MKC. It’s the second new  vehicle in Lincoln’s plan to launch four new and distinctive vehicles by 2016. Luxurious, nimble and built on the Ford Escape platform, the MKC is an all EcoBoost© vehicle, with two engine choices; a 2.0L Ecoboost© or a unique 2.3L 285hp Ecoboost© engine.

Tired of shifting gears? Then you will be ecstatic over the MKC’s push-button gear shifter that allows even the most uncoordinated beginner to easily shift gears with a simple button click. As with most vehicles, the MKC comes in a standard front two-wheel drive with 18-inch tires, as well as a four-wheel drive option.

The MKC’s advanced technology features make it stand out among its class. The optional features are  truly cutting edge, like “Park-Out Assist,” which not only aids the driver in parallel parking, but also in getting out of tight parking spots. The MKC’s “Lane Keeping System” uses radar and cameras to find lane markers that help keep the car from straying out of its lane. But wait, there’s more. If you  have a smartphone, the MKC is the first Lincoln to feature the new “MyLincoln Mobile™” app. This feature’s always-on connectivity allows you to not only make phone calls, but also to  lock or unlock the MKC, locate the vehicle, set the internal temperature to heat or cool, and monitor fuel level and tire pressure. The MKC also features “Approach Detection” that senses when the vehicle’s owner is near and illuminates welcome mats, door handles, headlights and taillights with a soft glow that matches the vehicle’s color.

The MKC is manufactured in Kentucky and will be available the second quarter of  2014 with a starting price tag of around $35,000.  Lincoln has not only entered this market but has upped the ante with the 2015 MKC!
