Although his place in the current landscape of music may be in question, the one thing no one can deny about 50 Cent is his business acumen.

The latest big move by the drug dealer turned rapper turned mogul is a partnership between his SMS Audio and NASCAR’s emerging Swan Racing team.

“Swan Racing and its up-and-coming drivers are the perfect match for SMS Audio,” says 50. “They are as passionate for the sport of racing as we are for our audio products, and we’re confident that the music-loving NASCAR fan base is going to enjoy our headphones – whether at track or at home.”

SMS will act as one of the sponsors for the team for the 2014 and 2015 Sprint Cup Series seasons. The SMS logo will be featured on the racecars and driver uniforms.

“Swan Racing is very proud to partner with a growing worldwide brand like SMS Audio and to include an entrepreneur like 50 Cent as part of our team,” says Brandon Davis, owner of the Swan team. “The SMS Audio brand will be featured on both our cars and I know our fans are going to love the product.”

Based out of Statesville, North Carolina, the Swan racing team has designated drivers Cole Whitt and Parker Kligerman to be the face of the SMS Audio union. Collectively, they will compete in 36 nationally televised races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

“I am pumped up for this partnership to say the least, as I am a huge Hip Hop fan. I am a huge 50 fan and I rely on headphones to get me in the right pre-race mindset,” Kligerman says.

“From a personal point of view I use headphones every day when I’m doing my workouts and video gaming, so I am definitely excited about my SMS audio headphones and promoting them to our fans,” adds Whitt.
