Apollo Nida and Phaedra Parks’ marriage has undoubtedly been suffering this past month over the weight of Nida’s hefty fraud and identity theft charges. And although Nida claimed that he and his wife would never split up, a new report alleges that the couple is living separately and have been putting up a united front to hide the truth.
According to RadarOnline, despite Nida’s upcoming trial in March, Parks has chosen to focus her attention on a book tour for her advice guide, Secrets of a Southern Belle, which was released three months ago.
The report shows that, just days after Nida’s arrest on Jan. 24, Parks announced a book signing at Atlanta City Hall on January 31. The book signing was later rescheduled because of Atlanta’s snow storm, but Parks went full steam into the book tour and has spent most of February traveling across the South in states like Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. Parks’ book tour will take her to South Carolina today.
For most couples, a tour would just be a reason to take their love on the road. But since Nida can’t leave the state without court approval, Parks has been traveling alone. The couple hasn’t been photographed together since December, when Parks posted an old photo of Nida that a fan provided. Nida hasn’t posted a photo of Parks since last March.
However, Nida has been taking several photos with female fans. While Parks has been busy promoting her book, Nida has professed to staying in Atlanta, except when he traveled to South Carolina and was spotted dancing with other women at a nightclub on Valentine’s Day.
It also doesn’t help that Nida has previously been accused of cheating on Parks with an unknown woman as well as their cast mate, Kenya Moore, who he’s supposed to get cozy with again in an upcoming episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
No one knows exactly what’s going on in Parks and Nida’s marriage, but it definitely appears that their troubles are deeper than any court case.
Hopefully, they won’t end up breaking up like these other celebrity couples below. –nicholas robinson
