The Taste of the Upper West Side showcased some of the finest food and wine in Manhattan this past weekend. The grand finale was the Best of the West soiree, which featured signature fare from almost 50 chefs and eateries from the Upper West Side. Presented by Ford and hosted by Emmy winner Jill Martin, the event honored world-renowned chef and owner Daniel Boulud of Daniel, Café Boulud, db Bistro Moderne, DBGB Kitchen and Bar, Boulud Sud and Epicerie Boulud.

Attendees got a little bit of everything; from Shake Shack’s infamous cheeseburgers, to delicious Italian meatballs from Carmine’s, to outstanding tacos from Rosa Mexicano —it was an orgy of delicious eats and signature drinks. The Silver Arrow Band provided the soundtrack, performing a range of hits from the likes of Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi as acrobats twirled high above the dining crowd.

And the Taste of the Upper West Side also featured other events earlier in the week, including the Comfort Classic; which was hosted by the Travel Channel’s Adam Richman and Food Network star and Iron Chef, Alex Guarnaschelli of NYC’s Butter Restaurant. The competition featured 40 restaurants from the Upper West Side showcasing their most innovative comfort dishes, and competing for the title of “Best Comfort Food Dish.”

As everyone enjoyed the food and music at The Best of the West, which took place at the Grand White Tent on Columbus Avenue between 76th and 77th Streets, fans also had the opportunity to win a brand new Ford.
