20-year-old woman to serve prison time for killing boyfriend over a house key

20yr

A 20-year-old woman will have to spend her prime years in prison for killing her boyfriend over a house key.

According to reports by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Tamasa Noble was only 18 years old when she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Devon Devine, 20. The two began arguing over a house key while in Ventor, New Jersey.

The argument intensified and Noble stabbed Devine in the chest. He was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where he died shortly after arrival.

Noble pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Because of New Jersey’s No Early Release Act, Noble must serve 85 percent of her sentence before she is eligible for parole.

Noble will be 37 before she can have her first parole hearing. She will be on parole five years after her release.
