Toya Wright and Rasheeda Frost empower Detroit women

Kennedi Treasure with Toya Wright and Rasheeda Frost

On Sunday July 27, 2014, Rich Girlz Party and Event Planning LLC hosted their first annual Business, Beauty and Brains Women’s Empowerment Luncheon at the Regency Manor Banquet Center in Southfield, Michigan. This upscale soiree featured a panel of very dynamic and powerful businesswomen followed by a brief fashion show displaying summer trends and fashions from Kiss and Tell Apparel and Accessories. Among those on the panel were economic developer and grant writing specialist, Kenyetta Bridges; hair extension retailer and branding expert, Toi Leonnah of I Wear Glam; cosmetic distributor and makeup specialist, Heidi Denha; and teen entrepreneurs Kennedi and Treasure Bishop.

The keynote speakers for this event included mother, wife, reality TV personality, New York Times bestselling author and prosperous entrepreneur, Toya Wright, alongside another business savvy mother, wife, female rap star, successful entrepreneur and “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’”s reality TV personality, Rasheeda Frost. These phenomenal women participated in a very intimate conversation with aspiring business professionals of Detroit and surrounding areas sharing their business expertise coupled with valuable insight on how to manifest entrepreneurial desires all while being confident, married and beautiful.

As a member of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” this season, there was lots of drama surrounding the then pregnant Frost who dealt with circulating rumors of her husband’s infidelity publicly. With great friend and supporter,Wright, by her side, a very tearful Frost opened up to the young women during her time on panel to clear the rumor mills, defend her marriage and empower other young women who may be facing challenges in their relationship or marriages. Wright also became a bit emotional as she delved back into her painful past which dealt with child abandonment and adoption due to her mother who was severely addicted to drugs. Before joining all of the ladies on the red carpet, Wright left the girls with a quote which she says always motivates her, “nothing beats failure but a try.”
