Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson give unpredictable performance in ‘No Good Deed’

No Good Deed

No Good Deed
Rated: PG 13
Starring: Idris Elba, Taraji Henson

If you were a housewife with two small children at home on a stormy night while your aloof husband is away and a tall, dark and handsome stranger – seemingly harmless – arrives at your front door, what would you do? You’d answer and you’d probably let him in. That’s exactly what happened when Colin (Idris Elba) knocked on Terry’s (Taraji Henson) door one strange night in upscale Atlanta. In the Will Packer-produced psychological thriller No Good Deed, both Elba and Henson give us a never-before-seen performance where strong will and wit clash.

Colin is on a revenge mission and the moment Terry allows him in her home, she unknowingly harbors a murderous fugitive, who’s really cute but also cunning and charming. Throughout the film, this writer sat at the edge of her seat, never finding a moment to relax or recline. From the fight scenes to the plot twist, both Colin and Terry are a match made in hell. Check out No Good Deed in theaters on Sept. 12, 2014, to see who gets there first.
