‘Django’ actress lied about racist incident with the police?

Actress Daniele Watts made headlines last week after she posted on her Facebook page that she was wrongfully detained and handcuffed by police in Studio City, California, after they assumed she was a prostitute. Watts, a black woman, said that she was “making out” with her boyfriend, who is white, on Sept. 11 when police arrived and demanded she show them identification. But photos and audio have been obtained by TMZ that seem to reveal another side to the story. Photos indicate that the couple was actually having sex in public. In the audio that surfaced, Watts can be heard arguing with the officers.

“Do you know how many times the cops have been called … just because I’m black and he’s white,” she can be heard saying.

But witnesses from a nearby building reportedly told the police that they saw Watts and her boyfriend, Brian Lucas, having sex in the passenger seat of the car — not just “making out.”

“I have every right to ask [for] your ID,” the officer says in the audio, as Watts continues to protest.

Both Watts and Lucas posted on Facebook about the incident.

“From the questions that [the cop] asked, I could tell [he] thought we were a H-(prostitute) and a TRICK (client),” Lucas wrote.

“He didn’t even give me the respect of telling me what happened,” Watts said during an appearance on CNN. “For me, if he would have come to me like ‘excuse me ma’am, you seem like a respectable person but someone made a call can we just talk to you for a second,’ the whole situation would have been different.”

In the photos obtained by TMZ, it is clear that Watts is straddling Lucas on the passenger side of the vehicle. An eyewitness said that Lucas had his feet on the curb with Watts straddling him with her shirt pulled up and breasts exposed. TMZ states that “the eyewitness says she was grinding on top of him, rocking back and forth.”
