What do 2 Chainz and marching bands have in common?

Atlanta Football Classic 2014

The 26th Annual Atlanta Football Classic presented by the 100 Black Men of Atlanta announces 2 Chainz as the featured performer during the High School Battle of the Bands & Pre-Game Concert.

As one of the nation’s largest Black college football games, the Atlanta Football Classic pits the Aggies of North Carolina A&T University against South Carolina State University’s Bulldogs.

John T. Grant of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta describes the Atlanta Football Classic as ‘more than just a football game.  It’s an event that has tremendous impact in a number of areas of the community.  We have Male Youth Symposium where we bring in young men to talk about manhood and decision-making. We have a Robotics Showcase and Invitational where we’re introducing young people to stem, a parade that highlights excellence in education. We put on a College Fair where thousands of young people are exposed to universities with opportunity to seek and make decisions on where they would be interested in going. Scholarships are being offered each year on the spot to many of them.  And then, of course, this game and the Fan Experience that takes place. It offers huge benefits to Atlanta and those who attend.’

The 100 Black Men of Atlanta provide a wonderful example of caused based fundraising benefiting future young scholars via the Atlanta Football Classic.  The event not only benefits Project Success, the organizations mentoring, academic support and scholarship program but is an Atlanta tradition providing the ultimate sports and entertainment weekend.  Multi-platinum-selling, Grammy Award(r)-winning artist, actor and Atlanta’s own Ludacris will serve as the official celebrity ambassador of the Atlanta Football Classic Weekend (Oct 1 -4).   The weekend event lineup includes the Atlanta Football Classic Game featuring the McDonald’s Battle of the Bands Halftime Show, the Fan Experience, College Fair, High School Battle of the Bands
& Pre-Game Concert featuring 2 Chainz and the Official AFC After Party at the Compound.
