Masika Tucker defends Yung Berg following brutal assault

Well, it’s safe to say that we didn’t see this coming…

Last week, we reported that “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Yung Berg had been arrested following an alleged assault on his girlfriend. Days following the incident as details emerged, we learned that his girlfriend just happened to be his fellow cast member, Masika Tucker.

Tucker who spoke to officers following the domestic assault, described it in detail saying … “He hit me and dragged me by my hair. He pinned me to the wall and grabbed me by my throat.” As for what caused Berg to snap, we’re told that he became livid after his credit card was declined during a night out on the town in the Big Apple.

Berg was later terminated by VH1.

Now, Tucker has come forward, officially breaking silence and oddly enough, defending the accused. Check out what she had to say during a brief chat with S2S below…

On speaking to Berg following the incident:

“My focus right now is him being better. The focus should not be on us being a couple right now. It’s best that we don’t communicate as we were.”

On defending Berg’s assault:

“It was not an abuse situation. He did not attack me; he did not knock me out. He did not beat me up, none of that happened. He was very drunk. It was to the point where he didn’t really know his bearings. He needs to be focused on getting these charges dropped and getting the drinking under control.”

On rumors surrounding the incident:

“The stories were just erroneous …I  feel like the only abuse issue that he has is alcohol abuse. I do feel like he has a drinking issue and that’s the issue at this time. It was not an abusive situation.”

While we understand Tucker’s desire to see Berg get help, we just have one question. Who lied on the police report? As you may recall, TMZ got their hands on the official documents filed in New York City, where police detailed Tucker’s injuries.

Clearly something is off here. We hope that due to the severity of the situation and Tucker’s documented injuries that she does stand by her word and focus on herself for now. She’s playing with fire here!

Abuse is abuse. There is no fine line that separates it from passion or excuses it; whether you’re drunk, high or on the edge. – ruu hawkins/@ruubabie
