Last night, the highly anticipated Aaliyah biopic, “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” starring Alexandra Shipp [formerly a spot held by Zendaya Coleman] aired on Lifetime TV. It wasn’t long into the made-for-TV flick however, that fans realized it was probably the worst movie ever made!

Poor casting, mediocre acting and a what the heck ending pretty much tarnished our perfectly imperfect memory of the lovable tomboy who sang her way into our hearts. Once you read Twitter’s reaction to Lifetime’s version of Aaliyah’s story, it’s safe to say, that the movie should have never been made.

Unfortunately, the network has their hands on the Whitney Houston story as well. Here’s to hoping Angela Bassett out produces Wendy Williams … by miles.
