NFL players arrested in 2014

Ray Rice Tries to Repair His Once Squeaky-Clean Image

Over the course of the last year, a shocking 28 NFL players have been arrested since the Seahawks dominated the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2, 2014, causing the NFL, media and sports fans alike to scrutinize the league and those they idolize.

Most recently, former Baltimore Raven, Ray Rice, was reinstated by the NFL after being suspended indefinitely for knocking out his then girlfriend, now wife, Janay Palmer, earlier this year.

After all, we can do better!

As we approach Super Bowl XLIX, we look back at a variety of athletes (and role models to young boys) who faced some heavy charges, including domestic violence, DWI/DUI and a host of drug-related offenses.
