How Dwyane Wade celebrated NBA All-Star weekend

On Thursday, February 12, kicking off All-Star Weekend festivities, Dwyane Wade made a special appearance at the groundbreaking of a new Hublot boutique on Fifth Avenue in York City. The Hublot Brand Ambassador was also joined by president, LVMH Watches and Chairman Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver, Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe and fellow Hublot brand ambassador, Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli.


Thursday evening, Wade hosted an exclusive Spades Tournament with his partner Stance. Thirty teams gathered at The Skylark in New York City with guests in attendance including Gabrielle Union, Beyoncé, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony, Andre Drummond, John Wall, Worldwise Wes, Joe Budden, Rocsi Diaz, Andre Miller, Aaron Gordon, Rashad Jennings, Marcedes Lewis, among many others. The winner of the tournament was San Diego Chargers Dwight Freeney and team, who scored a Hublot watch, private jet time from Wheels Up, and a new pair of Stance socks every day for a year.


On Friday, Dwyane Wade, along with partner Li-Ning, transformed a classroom into the ultimate brand experience at Westinghouse Campus/City Polytechnic High School in Brooklyn. The weekend-long event began with a student presentation, followed by the unveiling of the new student reading lounge, Li-Ning Way of Wade pop-up and student “ball-in.”

On Saturday, Wade hosted his All-Star Bowling Classic to raise funds for Game Changer, the collaborative integrated sports program to assist youth in underserved communities that was created by The Sandals and Wade’s World Foundations. Proceeds raised will go to build Game Changer’s first multi‐purpose sports courts, as well as provide underprivileged youth with access to planned sports, recreation, a healthy lifestyle, and family engagement. Presented by Apollo Jets, the fundraiser featured celebrity-led bowling teams for a friendly competition for a good cause. Live and silent auctions were also part of the afternoon’s festivities. Guests in attendance included Gabrielle Union, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, Katie Couric and John Molner, The Roots’ Black Thought, T-Pain, Kelly Bensimon, Marcus Scribner, and Jill Martin.


Saturday evening, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul hosted “A Gentleman’s Supper” at CATCH in New York with friends and family in attendance.
