“Being Mary Jane” star Stephen Bishop and Khalil Kane (“Girlfriends”) are the perfect eye candy addition for any girlfriends getaway. What an excellent choice for part two of TV One’s big hit original program “Girlfriends Getaway.” Now Bobbcat Films and Nina Holiday productions are happy to announce the following:

Filming has begun in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on the TV One film “Girlfriends Getaway 2.” The sequel brings back the original cast Garcelle Beauvais (“The Jamie Foxx Show”), Terri J. Vaughn (“The Steve Harvey Show”), Malinda Williams (Soul Food) and Essence Atkins (Haunted House) as well as two new additions, Stephen Bishop (“Being Mary Jane”) and Khalil Kane (“Girlfriends”).

This time the girls travel to San Juan to help Vicki (Garcelle Beauvais) plan her wedding and of course mayhem ensues. The movie, is Executive produced and directed by Roger Bobb. This has been a busy year for Bobb who has already released two shows so far  “It’s A Mann’s World” (BET) and recently “Mann & Wife” (Bounce TV) which premiered as the highest rated show in the history of the network and is the only new show this season besides Empire to increase it’s audience.

Now no more jokes about Roger Bobb rarely showing up (on camera) for his girlfriend Demetria McKinney’s singing debuts. As you can see this executive producer and filmmaking mogul is busy making that cheddar and bringing us more Black films.

The film is written by Cas Sigers and is a co-production between Bobb’s BobbCat Films and Siger and Vaughn’s Nina Holiday Entertainment. “Girlfriends Getaway 2” will premier at the American Black Film Festival in New York City this summer. Hats off to Roger Bobb and Bobbcat Films on the new projects.
