The lounge is a one-stop shop for all things beauty, including manicures and pedicures, brow waxing, makeup consultations and even private parties for a fun ladies’ night out. From the moment customers walk in, they will feel the relaxing ambiance circulating throughout the lounge from its fancy chandelier fixtures down to its pastel walls.

The black owned business assures every customer will be given a taste of authentic Southern hospitality from its all female staff. Not to mention, the manicurists are also African American. Some might ask why this is a such big deal. Well, Black women are the driving force behind this billion-dollar industry in terms of sales. It’s rare that we are employed and serviced by a Black-owned nail salon. To see women of color successfully working in such as fickle industry is a breath of fresh air. The manicurists at Ultraviolet made the customers feel right at home and welcomed them with pink champagne and cupcakes. Now, tell me how many other nail shops are are offering you tasty treats while being pampered?
Despite the scattered showers pouring down throughout the day, the festivities continued with a block party hosted by radio personality Jazzy Mcbee from Streetz 94.5. If you weren’t there, then you definitely missed out, but it’s not too late, so make an appointment today. Ultraviolet lounge is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
