As the saying goes: All good things must come to an end and it looks as though Straight Outta Compton has seen the end of its run as box office champion as the faith-based drama War Room edges it out of the top spot at the weekend box office.

It was a noticeably slow week, as not a single film was able to earn $10 million.

War Room’s draw of $9.3 million was good enough to outdo Compton, which only brought in $8.8 million. Nick Nolte and Robert Redford’s buddy comedy, A Walk In The Woods, nabbed $8.4 million to place third, while Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation fell a spot from last week to land at number four with $7.15 million. And rounding out the top five is the action adventure Transporter Refueled, which narrowly missed tying Mission with $7.13 million collected.
