The Obamas reached their 23rd anniversary Saturday. It was not revealed what the first couple did to celebrate, but the president acknowledged the special day via social media.

“Twenty-three years and still going strong. Here’s to many more. #Happy Anniversary,” President Barack Obama tweeted to his wife. He coupled the message with a sweet photo of the two getting close in the White House’s Diplomatic Reception room.

Barack and Michelle Obama were married on Oct. 3, 1992 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Although there has been talk of rough patches during their union, such as in 2012 when a controversial book, The Amateur, claimed that Michelle had considered filing for divorce in 2000, the two have always appeared to be in love and have a solid relationship.

Ever since the Obamas have been in the public eye, people have fawned over the affection they show toward each other and the great bond that they appear to have. In fact, their relationship has been so fascinating that a film slated for 2016 will uncover where it all started. Southside with You, which will star Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter as a young Barack and Michelle, is said to be a portrayal of the couple’s incredible first date.

We wish the Obamas many more happy years together.
