Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Bishop, has officially been named Miss Golden Globe 2016 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The annual title, which is traditionally given to the daughter or son of a celebrity, gives each recipient the opportunity to assist in handing out the awards on the big night.

“Like her father, [Corinne] leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can’t wait to see what she does next,” said Lorenzo Soria, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The model-actress is no stranger to awards shows, having accompanied her dad on red carpets since she was a child. “I’ve known for about three weeks. Maybe like a month and I was so excited,” Bishop told People. “I had all of this energy and I’m not lying, for an hour straight, just jumped around my house and was bouncing off the walls, and was Googling all of this stuff about Miss Golden Globes, so I was really excited.”

“Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor,” said Bishop at a recent HFPA party. “I’m honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments.”

Naturally, the 20-year-old’s Golden Globe Award-winning dad’s reaction was just as priceless. “My dad, he’s a little bit emotional. He won’t admit it, but he had tears in his eyes and he was so happy for me to kind of have my own thing now,” continued Bishop.

Congrats to Bishop on her recent title! Past honorees include Greer Grammer, Dakota Johnson, Sosie Bacon and Rumer Willis. The 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards will air on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at 8 p.m. EST. Will you be watching?
