Walk us through your journey to success. How did you get to this point?
My journey to success started when I realized I had become someone that was defined by what everyone else said I should be. It was in this place that I discovered my power and began to grow. What I learned in that moment over 20 years ago is that it didn’t matter what anyone else thought about me if I didn’t know who I was. As I began to explore and get to know myself, what I discovered is that it felt so doggone good being me. The true, authentic, and real me. It felt so good that I wanted everyone else to feel the same way in their own journey. It was then that I started to do the work I do today. This is what I call my “Find Your Fierce Formula” and I have been working with women for the last 20 years to live as the highest and best version of who they were created to be and understand how to monetize their message as the gift they give to the world.

What do you do to stay on top of your game?
In order to live as the highest and best version of who I was created to be, I have learned that I can’t get hung up on who Nicole was yesterday or who I am today. That version of me is over. Instead, I have become a student of the gift inside of me. I am committed to life long learning and continuing to grow. After all, you don’t get to one level of greatness and stay there. Oh no, you will have your next level to climb in order to grow YOU. To do this, I actively seek opportunities to grow that will inspire me.

How do you balance your personal life with your professional?
Interestingly enough, I actually don’t believe balance is possible. Instead I have found in my life, and it has become something I teach my clients, that living an equalized life means that every area in your life is allocated time based on what is important and what works in the moment for you. Not for your sister, brother, cousin, mother co-worker or boss, for you! And using this methodology somehow, even though things aren’t equal, on the whole, life feels complete. You feel like you have a blend of all that you need and want to make your life feel complete, full, and happy.

What advice would you give to a budding entrepreneur or career woman?
You’ve got to get clear on what you want and then have the courage to go after it. What I know for sure from my own journey and through my work as a coach with women over the last two decades is that each of us has a gift we are responsible for unleashing in this world. It’s like a baby you are pregnant with and no one can push that baby out but you. To do that, you must learn to push past anything that may stop you and be determined to make it happen.

What does being a BOSS mean to you?
A BOSS knows what she wants and has the courage to go after it. What I learned in my own life is that once I established my intentions, gave myself permission to want what my heart desired and begin to move toward it, those things that I desired have been made real in my life.
