The topic of interracial relationships is very emotionally-charged these days. Society has come a long way from 1967 when interracial marriages were first legalized throughout the United States, thanks to the Loving vs. Virginia decision. People of all races and ethnicities are now free to intermingle with one another, but such relationships still come with a fair share of objections and complications.

Social media has shown that many Black Americans take issue with interracial dating and marriages, and this has particularly become obvious when it comes to famous Black men. Actor Michael B. Jordan experienced backlash on social media and blogs after being photographed with White women who he was suspected of dating, along with saying other questionable things in relation to Black women. Master P’s son, Romeo, was also sent a lot of hate after posting a picture of his White girlfriend on Instagram.

According to the most recent census data on interracial marriages, only 17 percent of Black Americans marry outside of their race. While this data shows that Black people are more likely to marry each other instead of someone of another race, many concerned women still feel that men with an immense amount of wealth and fame tend to marry non-Black women more often.

Some women think this is problematic because the wealth should stay within the Black community, where it is greatly needed. Others feel Black men should want to celebrate becoming a success with the same kind of woman who was likely supportive of them before they made it big — a Black woman.

But regardless of interracial naysayers’ reasoning, there are a lot of famous Black American men who still choose to spend their lives with White woman. Here is a list of Black men who married White women — including some who surprisingly had Black spouses early on, but left them for White women, and others who tied the knot with their high school sweetheart who happened to be White.

Tiger Woods

G.O.A.T golfer Tiger Woods married Swedish model Elin Nordegren in 2004. The couple had an extremely public fall out when Nordegren discovered Woods was cheating with over a dozen women and she forcibly kicked him out of their home. They divorced in 2010, and Woods’ skills on the golf course haven’t been the same since.

  1. Why is this an issue ? Who cares what color you are only those who judge show ignorance. Wake up people it’s 2024 .love is the only thing that matters and if someone wants money to help there communities give them the education that is offered to everyone and teach them that it does not matter what color they are becuase they have the same opportunities as everyone else does to make something of their lives so they can give back and erase the color issue once and for all .poeple , humans thats what we are brother and sisters no matter what color our skin is .we need love and forget the hate and indifferance already.

To hear that in 2024 someone would say “they should marry within there own race” have we not learned anything from the past or are we continueing the ignorancy and not changing anything .So the poeple that faught to make a difference didnt mean nothing?

  4. You must be white! The issue is black people have been on the of the pole for a long time and we are not considered human next to our white counterparts. Now as a brother who has a lot to offer, I refuse to share it with someone who will only look my way because of what I have. Black women will stay by your side no matter what and we are connected!! White women don’t know anything about my history nor do they care to know as long as it doesn’t affect them!
