When it comes to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the only cast mates who are typically up for spin-off shows are the famous wives of the series. However, that may change soon with the news that “RHOA” husband Gregg Leakes might get his own spin-off series in the future.

According to media reports, Leakes’ son Damian recently opened up about his step-mother NeNe Leakes’ future with Bravo and whether she’ll return to “RHOA” full-time like producers of the show want.

“I can’t say if she’s coming back or not, she’s got a lot going on,” Damian said. “She wants to put her production company out there on a bigger scale, maybe directing might be in the near future with her production company.”

Previous reports have claimed that Bravo is threatening to diminish her involvement on E!’s “Fashion Police” if she doesn’t sign a new contract with “RHOA.” However, Damian says that his step-mother isn’t worried about “RHOA” because she’s focused on producing new shows, like a possible spin-off for her husband.

“Gregg and the kids being able to do a reality show together, maybe a three-show series like ‘I Dream of Nene’…we’ve been playing with that idea,” Damian said. “We think it would be a pretty cool show to see our interactions with our dad.”

Damian says that NeNe wouldn’t be the star of the show, but “we’d get Nene to pop up every now and then and show everyone we are a very fun family.”

Damian also addressed the former family drama between NeNe and his father’s children and he now says that the family is closer than ever.

“We don’t get upset anymore, we are family,” he said. “We are all rooting for NeNe.”
