This week, Nick Cannon and Stevie J found themselves splattered across multiple headlines as rumors claimed that the two men nearly came to blows when Stevie J allegedly took personal shots at Cannon while filming an episode of “Wild ‘n Out” this week. However, despite the news of a rift, Cannon recently decided to speak out on the rumors and set the record straight.

As previously reported, sources claimed that the drama erupted during the Wildstyle segment, where the cast and guests have to rattle off jokes about each other in battle rap form in order to gain points for their team.

The sources say that the game started off with harmless jokes, but things began to go south when the jokes between Stevie and Nick became personal. Stevie allegedly told Cannon that he slept with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, twice.

For those that don’t know, Stevie and Carey have personal history together because Stevie used to produce hits for her, like “Honey” and “Breakdown,” during his musical heyday when he was part of Bad Boy Records’ legendary super producer team, The Hitmen, which consisted of Stevie, Chucky Thompson, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, Mario Winans, and Nashiem Myrick.

But the sources claimed that Cannon didn’t take Stevie’s diss lying down. Instead, they said he then fired back that Stevie should worry about his wife, Joseline Hernandez, who was onstage as well, because she allegedly cheated on Stevie with Rick Ross.

The sources claimed that things became so heated between the two men that producers had to step in and separate them before things got violent between Stevie and Cannon.

However, yesterday, Cannon hopped on Twitter and revealed that the rumors were nothing more than a fairytale and that he and Stevie had a good time filming together.
