Drake pulls a Rihanna…

On Saturday, May 14, a freshly shaven Drizzy returned to “Saturday Night Live,” for a second time, where he took on the role of host. To our surprise, the Canada native used the opportunity to set the record straight about his relationship with bad gal Rih Rih.

During his opening monologue, the “Take Care” rapper, began by poking fun at the fact that his “Hotline Bling” music video as well as the cover of his new “Views From the 6” album have been immortalized with a slew of hilarious memes.

“If I’m being real, it hurts,” he said. “It seems like this keeps happening to me.”

He then moved onto the subject og how he is “more than a meme.” In the middle, he put on a blunt cut bob wig and impersonated Rihanna, Bajan accent and all, as he addressed those romace rumors that have been circulating – for years.

“I swear we’re only friend, friend, friend, friend, friends,” he sang.

Of course, the duo has given us much reason to speculate. In 2013, Champagne Papi remained coy when asked about dating the “B*tch Better Have My Money” singer during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” saying he would “always support and have love for her.” The following year, he told Rolling Stone Rih was “the ultimate fantasy” and that the pair “have fun together” but are “just friends.”

Not to mention, the long time collaborators and friends have showcased their chemistry onstage, with steamy performances. Meanwhile, in the past, Rihanna has admitted she is attracted to the star. Then again, who isn’t?

Throughout the night, Drake also entertained viewers with a handful of skits, including our favorite, “Black Jeopardy,” where he surprised host Kenan Thompson in the role of a Black Canadian. Competition categories included funny phrases like “Bye Felicia!” “Oh Snap!,” “Bruh…” and “White People.” He topped off the night with an epic performance of tracks “One Dance” and “Hype.” Needless to say, we were left wanting more!
