Epic, legendary and nostalgic, all describe what went down during the old school Hip Hop Smackdown concert at the Fox Theater in Detroit over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. It was a reunion of 90’s and early 2000’s hip hop royalty and the lineup was exceptionally dope. Juvenile, Trina, Uncle Luke, Scarface, Too Short, The Lox, Lil Kim and E-40 all shared the same stage and set Detroit’s Fox Theater ablaze with all of their individual dopeness as they performed old-school song after song. The sold-out audience became the performers “back-up singers” as the artists performed familiar hit after hit. The Hip Hop Smack Down concert made history in Detroit as a night we won’t soon forge.! See pics and reviews on each performer, after the cut.
